The Photography Lesson Day Arrives

June 9, 1938

She wakes up at 5am. Before the crows even begin squawking. The forecast is sunny with a high of 68. She already packed a lunch the night before, and prepared a notebook with 2 sharpened pencils. J. thinks she is visiting her aunt V. in New Westminster for the day, so she also has a few books and some skeins of wool as a gift. She will have to donate those to the library. She doubts that A. knits.

J. finally leaves for work at 7:45am. She awaits for A. to pick her up — by car!

They are going to the new bridge and then to her darkroom.

[Side Note: Photography is altered from original image CVA 376-99 taken in 1938 by Audrey Gordon, an amateur Vancouver photograph. True story as of yet remains unknown. Initially mistaken for Audrey Gordon in Scotland, naturalist/botanist and photographer with connections to Vancouver, BC. More to follow.]
