Movie Night

June 14, 1938

june14_RH

Tuesday.

This is normally movie night. J. is working though. Again.

She will go anyhow, with S. to see something she knows will be boring. She wishes it were Robin Hood, but that’s not in the theatres here yet. It’s in technicolor, with Errol Flynn…so handsome.

“And so it is with me, bully boy, saving that my doxy cometh not.
Now that is a right sweet song
,” quoth Robin,
“and, were I in the right mind to listen to thee, I could bear well to hear more;
but I have two things of seriousness to ask of thee;
so listen, I prythee
.”

[Side Note:

Errol Flynn died in Vancouver, 21 years later in 1959 of a heart attack. He also had cirrhosis of the liver.]
