Elsewhere Orson & Miro Cogitate

June 12, 1938

june12orson

Sunday, June 12, 1938.

Elsewhere—Orson Welles and John Houseman publish “The Summing Up” in the New York Times.

Jean Miro creates “Untitled” with India Ink and gouache on cardboard.

In Vancouver, in their tiny dining room, she takes advantage of J.’s absence (even while slightly fretting with anxiety over his absence — what business is there to attend to on a Sunday?) to pour over the negatives that A. has given her from their Thursday outing.

The sunlight filters in. She is momentarily quite serene.

[Side Note: Major apologies to Jean Miro, but I trust he might possibly be flattered to be used as a feature image]
